Westminster – Conversion and extension of redundant building into a dwelling

Back

Aitchison Raffety acted on behalf of homeowner in Westminster who wished to object to a proposal to convert and extend an old electricity generating station to form a dwelling.

The building lay at the end of our client’s garden and the proposal to extend it, by way of a mansard roof, would have created a development that overlooked his garden and house, undermining its privacy.  Aitchison Raffety successfully objected to the proposed development, leading to the proposal being refused and dismissed at appeal for its impact upon the amenity of our client’s property and being inappropriate development in the Conservation Area.
