Successful Dilapidations Claim, Bedfordshire

Our Building Surveying team advised, who was facing a claim of £340,000, made up of a dilapidations claim of £240,000 and a claim for additional rent of £90,000.

We settled the matter at £170,000, a saving of 50%, which included reducing the dilapidations bill by 60%. We also managed to re-coup some monies by selling some of the client’s redundant equipment.

The property, located in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, comprises a 48,000 sq ft warehouse and two storey ancillary offices built in the early 1980s. Our client had been in occupation under a lease dated 2014.
