We were instructed by a private school in Bushey, Hertfordshire to identify a developer partner to obtain planning permission for a residential development in the green belt. The development site was not to be transferred until after suitable alternative school premises had been constructed.

We undertook a marketing campaign, analysed offers received and negotiated the heads of terms for a conditional contract. This involved extensive knowledge of key variables such as acceptable density, section 106/CIL, affordable housing and overage.

Planning permission was subsequently obtained for an all private residential scheme and for the alternative school facilities.  Unfortunately the original sale did not reach fruition but a subsequent sale was concluded promptly to Crest Homes, which ensured that the Schools aims could be achieved.
