Objecting to Planning Permission

We frequently act on behalf of neighbours and local action groups to object to planning applications that have been submitted.  Projects range from extension of single buildings to construction of urban extensions.  Dependent upon the scale of the proposed development, the remit of work can include attendance and provision of advice at group meetings, site visits, planning research and discussions with the local planning authority, before preparation and submission of a planning objection. Representation of clients at Planning Committee is also undertaken.

We understand that land and buildings represent significant financial investments for individuals and companies and, therefore, it is of upmost to protect these assets.  Full consideration of the planning issues are, therefore, assessed and referenced to adopted Development Plan policy within all objection letters to ensure the best case possible is submitted to the planning authority.

As part of our service we aim to assist the client’s understanding of the planning system and advise accordingly on the chances of successfully blocking a proposed development.
