Development Management Assistance


Aitchison Raffety were appointed by St Albans Town and District Council to assist in the determination of planning applications submitted to the Council during a period of high application submission within its administrative area. Aitchison Raffety undertook the Development Management role for over 600 householder, certification of lawful development, conservation area and listed building applications, alleviating the backlog of planning application accumulating at the Council. This role incorporated undertaking site visits, communicating with the applicants/agents and providing written recommendations to the Council within specified time limits to allow the Council to comply with nationally set timescales for such planning applications.

A similar role has also been recently undertaken for Cherwell District Council, covering householder proposals, listed building applications and housing schemes of up to 50 dwellings.
