In October 2018, a new multi-million pound health centre opened its doors. The new Lister House Health Centre in Harlow has undergone a £7.5 million redevelopment and has tripled its capacity. Designed by CAMM Architects, the state-of-the-art-centre offers dental, pharmacy, GP and other NHS services to more than 20,000 patients across Essex. Our Healthcare team was instructed by Harlow Health Centres Trust to negotiate leases to the GPs, dentist, pharmacy and other occupiers.
Harlow Health Centres Trust, in partnership with Harlow Council, undertook a land swap which was also negotiated by our Healthcare team. The swap enabled a new purpose-built health centre to be developed on Abercombie Way.
The Trust approached Lloyds Bank for a funding package of £5.7million, which has gone towards the project to build the new Lister House.
Lister House is one of seven health centres owned by Harlow Health Centres Trust—including Addison House, Florence Nightingale Health Centre, Nuffield House, Sydenham House, Keats House and Osler House.
The Trust appoints Aitchison Raffety’s Healthcare team for all valuation matters including rent reviews on the medical centres, negotiating new leases and undertaking statutory valuations for the Charity.
