Crayford Town Surgery

Acting on behalf of R&M Projects, our Healthcare team managed the design and development of Crayford Town Surgery, Crayford Town Hall.  We advised on the space planning and specification for the developer, and were instructed to redesign the scheme following an unsuccessful attempt by an architect acting on behalf of the PCT.

The scheme was subsequently the basis for the conversion of the former Town Hall which was completed under a design and build contract.  We acted as the developer’s specialist medical design advisors and the scheme was purchased on completion by the GPs.

R G Easton, Director, R&M Projects (Crayford) Ltd, commented “We have recently completed the redevelopment and refurbishment of the Crayford Town Centre Scheme.  This scheme comprised residential units, a library, a community centre, a large retail unit and a doctor’s surgery.  As part of the scheme, we provided temporary accommodation for the Practice.  It was then proposed that the ground floor of the former Crayford Town Hall be converted to provide a new surgery.  We engaged the services of Aitchison Raffety to negotiate and agree the terms of a long lease with NHS England and the District Valuer.  Aitchison Raffety then advised us in respect of the eventual sale of this lease to the individual GPs working within the Practice.  All aspects of the project undertaken by Aitchison Raffety were done to the highest professional standard and we cannot speak highly enough of the work they did on our behalf”.
