Aitchison Raffety, a leading practice of Chartered Surveyors and Town Planners, congratulates Planner, Andrew Gray, on attaining the ultimate town planning qualification and promotion to Senior Planning Consultant.
Andrew, who joined the company in 2016 and is based at the company’s Northampton office, is now a qualified Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI). He has over ten years’ experience having originally started his career in urban design and master planning within a north eastern based architects office. During this time, he was involved in numerous large scale residential developments ranging from neighbourhood renewal projects to urban extensions.
More recently, Andrew has worked on a ‘reserved matters’ application for North Leigh in Wigan, which delivered circa 167 units in the first phase, with an accompanying Design Code for 1800 units.
Notable achievements include securing a number of Homes and Communities Agency land disposal competition responses; with The Rise in Scotswood Newcastle having won an RTPI Excellence Award in Planning to deliver housing, late 2015. The RTPI is the UK’s lead body in its sector and the largest planning institute in Europe with over 25,000 members.
