New Commercial Managing Director to Oversee Continued Growth at Aitchison Raffety

David Goodchild BSc MRICS IRRV has been appointed commercial managing director of Aitchison Raffety. His appointment comes at the commencement of a new financial year for the group in which further substantial growth from all divisions within the Aitchison Raffety Group is expected.

David Goodchild joined Aitchison Raffety in 1988 as a surveyor before focusing on rating and landlord and tenant issues. Under his stewardship, the commercial professional division increased its contribution to the Group’s turnover from 20 per cent in the1990s to over 40 per cent for the year just ended.

His appointment follows the decision by Neil Aitchison to step down from the role. Neil will continue as a senior consultant specialising in development advice, project management and other specialist services.

Two further senior internal appointments have been made. Philip Waite BSc MRICS IRRV FRGS and Michael Hodge BSc FRICS FNARA have joined the Group Board of Aitchison Raffety. Based in Oxford, Philip Waite’s appointment will increase Aitchison Raffety’s profile in Oxfordshire while the appointment of Michael Hodge reinforces the importance of commercial valuation network services to the group.

The Aitchison Raffety Group has 12 offices from London to Manchester and provides a full range of property services, including the acquisition and disposal of commercial property, valuation for all purposes, rating appeals, rent review and lease renewal negotiations, development and investment advice, surveying and design services, town planning, property management and corporate real estate services.
