North Orbital Rates Fall

Businesses operating on the North Orbital Commercial Park in St Albans are set to benefit from a reduction in commercial rates. Aitchison Raffety who have been at the forefront of rating appeals and industrial properties throughout the area report that reductions are imminent on the park. Group Director, Mark Bunting, reports:-

“In our original appraisal of rating assessments that came into effect in April 2005 we concluded that the North Orbital Commercial Park was over assessed along with parts of the Valley Road Commercial area. After a number of meetings with the Valuation Office our superior knowledge of transactions over the last five years has enabled us to provide the necessary evidence to secure a reduction, the only question remaining now being exactly how much the reduction will be”.
